At the end of May, Fort Leonard Wood's Directorate of Emergency Services installed self-service kiosks at the Visitors Center on the installation. The kiosks were installed with the purpose of reducing wait-times for short-term passes.
The short-term passes for Fort Leonard Wood include:
- One-day deliveries
- Hotel stays
- Flights (in and out of the installation)
- Visits to the museum
- Visits to General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital
Those planning to visit Fort Leonard wood for a graduation do not typically need a pass, but if you're planning to visit the installation before family day or after graduation, you will need a pass. Additionally, if you're planning to attend a graduation and are not a U.S. citizen, you will need a pass.
Though the kiosks are self-serve, visitors still need to check in with a visitor center representative before attempting to use a kiosk.
The security protocol for Fort Leonard Wood is always changing and our airport team does not have control over daily security operations. For this reason, we STRONGLY encourage all airport travelers to contact Fort Leonard Wood's Visitor Access office ahead of your trip to ensure you are prepared to enter the installation.
