Our entire airport would like to thank
Senator Roy Blunt for his testimony that he gave earlier today, April 6. Senator Blunt chairs the Aviation Operations, Safety and Security Subcommittee of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation.
He provided his perspective on rural air service, including general aviation, as part of a hearing on the reauthorization of the Federal Aviation Administration. We appreciate the information he provided to the committee on the Waynesville-St. Robert Regional Airport, including the importance of our airport to the Fort Leonard Wood Region.
Not only do we provide general aviation services for those in the region or those passing through, but we also provide commercial airline service that connects local businesses to the rest of the United States, and thousands of military service members with their next assignment or with their family and friends.
Our unique joint-service airport provides a critical service to our region. We encourage you to read
Senator Blunt's full testimony here.
